Candidate Pay Rate: $18 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, hands-on care to geriatric residents with dignity and respect
Assist with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, toileting, and mobility
Monitor residents for changes in condition and promptly report concerns to nursing staff
Support safe transfers and positioning to reduce risk of injury
Accurately document care, observations, and vital signs as directed
Engage residents in meaningful conversation and activities to promote well-being
Follow infection control, safety protocols, and facility policies at all times

Qualifications

Current GNA (Geriatric Nursing Assistant) certification — required
High school diploma or GED preferred
CPR/BLS certification preferred or willingness to obtain
Comfortable assisting with mobility and personal care tasks
Compassionate attitude, strong communication skills, and a team-first mindset
Ability to pass background check and meet facility vaccination/health requirements

Education

High school diploma or equivalent
GNA certification

Knowledge & Skills

Basic patient care skills and familiarity with ADLs
Comfort measuring and recording vital signs
Patient-centered communication and good listening skills
Ability to follow care plans and document accurately
Awareness of infection control and safety practices
Teamwork and the ability to take direction from nursing staff
