Contract Type: Per-Diem

Shift Type: Days: Not specified, 11:00 PM - 7:00 AM NOC (Night shift)

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $19 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate assistance with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, toileting) to promote dignity and comfort
Assist residents with mobility, transfers and safe positioning while using proper body mechanics
Monitor resident condition and promptly report changes to nursing staff to support timely care
Accurately document care provided and any resident observations in facility records
Support mealtime and basic nutritional needs, honoring resident preferences
Work collaboratively with interdisciplinary team members to deliver consistent, person-centered care

Qualifications

Certified Geriatric Nursing Assistant (GNA) — required
Current state GNA certification (able to work in Maryland) or eligible to obtain one
Relevant experience in long-term care or rehabilitation settings is a plus
Basic life support (BLS/CPR) certification preferred
Excellent communication skills and a patient, compassionate approach to elder care

Education

High school diploma or equivalent preferred; GNA certification required

Knowledge & Skills

Comfortable assisting with activities of daily living (ADLs)
Safe transfer and fall-prevention techniques
Basic infection control and body mechanics
Accurate documentation and time management
Strong interpersonal skills for working with residents and families
