Shift Type: Varies (days not specified), 11:00 PM - 7:00 AM NOC

Candidate Pay Rate: $18 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate daily care to geriatric residents, assisting with activities of daily living
Monitor residents’ condition and promptly report any changes to nursing staff
Assist with safe transfers, mobility, bathing, dressing, and toileting with respect and dignity
Document care accurately and communicate clearly during handoffs
Support a calm, comfortable environment and engage residents in meaningful interaction
Follow infection control protocols and facility policies to keep residents safe

Qualifications

Certification as a Geriatric Nursing Assistant (GNA) required
Current state nursing assistant certification for Maryland preferred or required as applicable
CPR/BLS certification preferred
Ability to work nights (11:00 PM - 7:00 AM) and pick up per diem shifts
Clear background check and up-to-date immunizations/TB screening per facility policy
Strong communication skills and a caring attitude toward older adults

Education

High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Geriatric Nursing Assistant (GNA) certification required

Knowledge & Skills

Understanding of geriatric care principles and common age-related conditions
Comfortable assisting with ADLs and safe patient handling techniques
Reliable documentation and basic charting skills
Good teamwork, communication, and the ability to work independently on night shifts
Attention to detail and commitment to resident dignity and comfort
