Roles & Responsibilities

• Operate floor care equipment including vacuums, burnishers, scrubbers, wet vacs, carpet extractors, and imop
• Perform floor maintenance procedures such as dust mopping, mopping, stripping, finish application, and burnishing
• Ensure proper signage for wet floors and other hazards
• Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients, visitors, and staff
• Uphold infection control policies and use PPE appropriately
• Communicate equipment issues promptly and participate in equipment care

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
• 1+ years of experience in resilient floor care and maintenance is a plus
• Floor Tech Certificate preferred
• Willing to work every other weekend
• Comfortable with exposure to bodily fluids and use of PPE including N95 masks
• Able to adapt to changing assignments during shift based on department needs

Education

• High School Diploma or equivalent

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of floor chemicals and proper handling procedures
• Understanding of floor pads for daily maintenance, burnishing, and stripping
• Familiarity with infection control and safety protocols
• Ability to identify mechanical issues with floor equipment
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
