Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform cleaning and sanitization tasks to maintain a safe, clean environment for patients, visitors, and staff
• Dust, mop, scrub, and refinish floors; vacuum and shampoo carpets
• Clean windows, walls, ceilings, vents, and light fixtures
• Empty and sanitize waste containers, transport solid waste to compactors
• Replenish restroom supplies and maintain cleanliness of all areas
• Report repair needs and equipment malfunctions promptly
• Follow hospital policies and infection control procedures
• Use cleaning chemicals and equipment correctly to ensure safety and efficiency

Qualifications

• Must be local to Asheville, NC
• No prior experience required; we will train you
• Willing to work every other weekend
• Comfortable with exposure to bodily fluids and using personal protective equipment (PPE)
• Ability to adapt to changing assignments during shift based on department needs

Education

• Must be able to read and write on an 8th grade level

Knowledge & Skills

• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
• Basic reading and writing skills at 8th grade level
• Attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness
• Team player with a positive attitude
• Time management and reliability
