Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform thorough dental cleanings and remove plaque, tartar, and stains
• Conduct patient assessments by reviewing medical histories and taking vital signs
• Take and develop dental x-rays as needed for diagnostic purposes
• Apply fluoride treatments and sealants to protect teeth from decay
• Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and preventive care
• Document patient care and treatments accurately in the dental record

Qualifications

• Valid Dental Hygienist license in the state of Pennsylvania
• Current CPR/BLS certification
• Graduation from an accredited dental hygiene program
• Previous experience in a dental practice preferred
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong attention to detail and infection control practices

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of dental instruments, equipment, and procedures
• Strong clinical skills in prophylaxis and scaling
• Familiarity with dental software for charting and records
• Excellent patient interaction and education skills
• Understanding of OSHA and infection control standards
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
