Roles & Responsibilities
- Deliver compassionate, high-quality dental hygiene care including cleanings and preventive treatments
- Educate patients on oral hygiene best practices and personalized care plans
- Assist dentists during procedures to ensure a smooth, comfortable patient experience
- Take and develop dental X-rays with precision and care
- Maintain accurate patient records and update medical histories
- Sterilize and prepare instruments following strict infection control protocols
Qualifications
- Active Dental Hygienist license in Virginia
- Graduation from an accredited dental hygiene program
- Current CPR/BLS certification
- Strong communication and patient care skills
- Attention to detail and a commitment to safety
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced dental practice
Knowledge & Skills
- Solid understanding of dental anatomy and hygiene procedures
- Proficiency with dental software and digital imaging
- Patient education and motivational interviewing abilities
- Knowledge of infection control and sterilization standards
- Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills
