Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform thorough dental cleanings, scaling, and polishing to promote optimal oral health
• Assess patients' oral health and document findings accurately
• Take and develop dental X-rays to aid in diagnosis and treatment planning
• Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and preventive care
• Administer local anesthesia and provide patient comfort throughout procedures
• Collaborate with dentists and team members to deliver exceptional patient care

Qualifications

• Active Dental Hygienist license in the state of Virginia
• Current CPR/BLS certification
• Experience in dental hygiene practice preferred, but new graduates are welcome
• Strong patient communication and education skills
• Ability to work flexible per diem shifts as needed

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficiency in prophylaxis, scaling, and root planing procedures
• Knowledge of dental radiography and safety protocols
• Familiarity with dental practice management software
• Excellent interpersonal and patient rapport skills
• Attention to detail and commitment to infection control standards
