Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide thorough dental cleanings and periodontal therapy to patients
• Take and develop dental radiographs (x-rays) as needed
• Assess patients' oral health and report findings to the dentist
• Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and preventive care
• Document patient care and update dental histories accurately
• Sterilize and prepare instruments, maintaining a clean operatory
• Assist the dentist during procedures and ensure a comfortable patient experience

Qualifications

• Active Dental Hygienist license in Wisconsin
• Current CPR/BLS certification (required)
• Strong clinical skills and attention to detail
• Excellent patient communication and education skills
• Ability to work evenings and adapt quickly to new settings
• Comfortable working with dental x-ray equipment and charting software

Knowledge & Skills

• Thorough knowledge of dental hygiene procedures and instruments
• Understanding of infection control and sterilization protocols
• Radiography and digital x-ray proficiency
• Strong interpersonal skills for patient interaction
• Time management and multitasking abilities
• Familiarity with electronic dental records (EDR)
