Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist dental hygienists in providing excellent patient care during cleanings and procedures
• Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize instruments to maintain a safe environment
• Capture and process dental x-rays with precision and care
• Educate patients on oral hygiene techniques to promote lifelong dental health
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records to support seamless care
• Follow infection control protocols to ensure the highest safety standards

Qualifications

• Current Maryland dental assistant certification or ability to obtain one
• CPR/BLS certification for healthcare providers
• Experience working in a dental office setting is a plus
• Strong patient communication and customer service skills

Knowledge & Skills

• Familiarity with dental terminology and chairside procedures
• Proficiency with dental software for charting and records
• Excellent interpersonal skills to connect with patients and team
• Detail-oriented with a focus on infection control and safety
