Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist the lead dentist during pediatric dental procedures, ensuring a smooth and efficient workflow
• Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and treatment rooms for patient appointments
• Take and develop dental X-rays as directed, ensuring patient safety and comfort
• Educate young patients and their parents on proper oral hygiene practices
• Maintain accurate patient records and assist with scheduling and follow-up appointments
• Support the dental team by managing inventory and supplies

Qualifications

• Valid Dental Assistant certification or license as required by the state of Wisconsin
• Prior experience in pediatric dentistry or a strong desire to work with children
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to connect with young patients
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced clinical environment
• CPR certification is preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of dental procedures, terminology, and instruments
• Proficiency in taking dental X-rays (radiographs)
• Familiarity with dental software for patient records
• Strong attention to detail and infection control protocols
• Compassionate and patient demeanor
