Certified Surgical Technician - OR Tech (Travel)

Location: Denville, New Jersey

Start Date: 07-19-2026

End Date: 10-17-2026

Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM, with rotating weekend on-call coverage

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $32 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Prepare and maintain sterile surgical fields in a fast-paced Operating Room
Anticipate surgeons' needs during orthopedic, spine, robotic, and general surgeries
Ensure all instruments and equipment are functioning and properly sterilized
Assist with patient positioning and draping before procedures
Monitor and manage surgical supplies to maintain inventory and efficiency

Qualifications

Certified Surgical Technician (CST) with active certification
Minimum 1 year of recent OR tech experience in a hospital setting
Experience with DaVinci XI Robotics, orthopedics, and spine preferred
BLS certification from the American Heart Association
Must be willing to work on-call weekends on a rotating basis

Knowledge & Skills

Proficiency in sterile technique and OR protocols
Knowledge of surgical instruments for orthopedics, spine, robotics, urology, vascular, general, podiatry, and plastics
Strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Ability to stand for long periods and adapt to changing case volumes
