Roles & Responsibilities

• Implement therapy interventions according to the OT plan of care
• Document patient progress accurately and in a timely manner
• Assist with patient and family education to support home and community integration
• Communicate patient status and updates to the supervising Occupational Therapist
• Follow all safety, infection control, and compliance protocols to ensure a secure environment

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program
• Active state COTA license (or ability to obtain one before starting)
• Strong teamwork and patient care skills to thrive in a collaborative setting

Education

• Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of occupational therapy principles and interventions
• Patient care skills with empathy and professionalism
• Accurate clinical documentation abilities
• Patient education and family communication skills
• Understanding of state/federal regulations and facility guidelines
