Location: Florence, AL

Contract Type: Per-Diem

Shift Type: Per diem (as-needed), 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM Day shift (days vary based on facility needs) at Glenwood Center

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $13 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, hands-on care to residents — assisting with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, toileting, mobility)
Take and record vital signs and report changes to the nursing team
Help maintain a safe, clean, and comfortable environment for each resident
Support the care team with feeding, turning, and repositioning as needed
Communicate clearly and respectfully with residents, families, and staff to ensure coordinated care
Document care accurately and promptly in the resident chart

Qualifications

Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) credential (Class: CNA) — required
Comfortable working 12-hour day shifts (7:00 AM - 7:00 PM) on a per-diem basis
Compassionate, patient-focused attitude with strong teamwork skills
Ability to follow facility policies and infection control procedures

Education

High school diploma or GED preferred
Current CNA certification required

Knowledge & Skills

Skilled in assisting with ADLs and bedside care
Basic competency with vital signs and recognizing changes in condition
Clear verbal and written communication for documentation and handoffs
Teamwork and time management in a fast-paced care setting
Awareness of infection control and patient safety practices
