Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on care to residents and support their daily needs
• Assist with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting)
• Monitor and report changes in patient condition to the nursing team promptly
• Perform routine tasks such as vital signs, turning, and safe transfers
• Document care accurately and maintain clear communication with colleagues
• Help maintain a safe, clean, and respectful environment for residents

Qualifications

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) credential required
• Active CNA listing in the state of Alabama or ability to obtain one
• Comfortable working 12-hour day shifts (7:00 AM - 7:00 PM)
• Strong communication skills and a team-first attitude
• Ability to pass standard background checks and any required screenings

Education

• Completion of an accredited CNA training program and current CNA certification (required)
• High school diploma or GED preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Fundamentals of patient care and safe patient handling
• Basic clinical skills: taking vital signs and observing patient status
• Infection prevention and adherence to standard precautions
• Accurate documentation and clear verbal communication
• Compassionate interpersonal skills for working with residents and families
