Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate bedside care for acute care patients, ensuring dignity and comfort
• Assist with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, feeding) and safe patient transfers
• Monitor and record vital signs, reporting changes promptly to the nursing team
• Maintain accurate patient records and contribute to care planning discussions
• Adhere to infection control policies and hospital safety protocols
• Support interdisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care

Qualifications

• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) — certified via Prometric Hawaii (required)
• Comfortable working rotating shifts, including nights and every weekend
• Able to work a mix of 8-hour and 12-hour shifts as scheduled
• Experience in acute care settings is preferred (demonstrates ability to handle higher-acuity patients)
• Strong communication skills and ability to work well within a multidisciplinary team

Education

• CNA certification (Prometric Hawaii)

Knowledge & Skills

• Foundational acute care knowledge and basic patient assessment (vital signs, mobility, ADLs)
• Proficiency in safe patient handling and transfer techniques
• Familiarity with infection control standards and bedside safety
• Good charting habits and attention to detail
• Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced hospital environment
