Roles & Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise Lead and Senior Technologists to ensure excellent patient care and team performance
• Oversee image quality control and enforce departmental policies and procedures
• Manage daily staffing needs to meet productivity targets and budget goals
• Promote staff development, employee satisfaction, and apply progressive discipline when appropriate
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and ensure regulatory compliance (Joint Commission, ACR, Title 17 & 22)
• Perform and/or assist with diagnostic imaging procedures and educate patients, families, students, and staff
• Act as a liaison between patients, physicians, and care teams to resolve issues and improve service
• Monitor departmental function, report on levels of care and satisfaction, and recommend resource allocations

Qualifications

• Minimum five years as a working Diagnostic Radiologic Technologist in an acute-care setting
• At least two years supervisory experience in an acute-care setting
• Associate Degree (minimum)
• Current full Certificate of Radiologic Technology (CRT) issued by CA Department of Health Services OR ARRT license
• Current CPR certification
• Desired: prior supervisory/managerial experience (3-5 years) and certification in a specialized area (NMTBC, MRI, etc.)

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong knowledge of patient care, positioning, and principles of radiographic exposure
• Proven ability in image quality control, quality assurance, and radiation protection/physics
• Familiarity with regulatory standards and compliance (Joint Commission, ACR, Title 17 & 22)
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, delegation, and leadership skills
• Experience with human resources processes, performance improvement, and resource management
• Ability to teach and mentor staff, students, and other departments
