Roles & Responsibilities

• Prepare operating rooms with sterile instruments and supplies
• Assist surgeons during procedures by passing instruments and anticipating needs
• Maintain a sterile field and ensure patient safety throughout surgery
• Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure efficient workflow
• Count sponges, needles, and instruments before and after procedures

Qualifications

• Current certification as a Surgical Technologist (CST) preferred
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Minimum 1 year of experience in a hospital setting
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills

Education

• Graduate of an accredited surgical technology program

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of sterile techniques and infection control
• Familiarity with surgical instruments and equipment
• Ability to anticipate the needs of the surgical team
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
• Adaptability to various surgical specialties
