Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, expert nursing care to pediatric patients recovering from anesthesia
• Monitor vital signs and assess patients' readiness for discharge from the PACU
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to ensure smooth, safe patient transitions
• Educate and support families and caregivers on post-operative care and recovery
• Document patient assessments and interventions accurately and efficiently

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Ohio or a compact state
• Current BLS certification required
• PACU, critical care, or pediatric nursing experience preferred
• PALS certification preferred
• Strong assessment skills and the ability to stay calm in a fast-paced environment

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid understanding of PACU and post-anesthesia care protocols
• Experience with electronic health records and charting systems
• Excellent communication skills for interacting with children and families
• Critical thinking and rapid response capabilities in emergency situations
