Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, family-centered care to pediatric patients on the med/surg unit
- Assess, plan, and implement nursing interventions to promote healing and recovery
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Educate patients and families on treatment plans and home care
- Maintain accurate documentation and uphold safety standards
Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Ohio
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) preferred
- At least one year of recent pediatric med/surg experience strongly preferred
- Ability to work flexible, as-needed shifts
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong pediatric assessment and critical thinking skills
- Proficiency in medication administration and IV therapy
- Excellent communication and patient-family education abilities
- Team collaboration and adaptability in a fast-paced environment
