Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, high-quality care to mothers and newborns during labor, delivery, and recovery
Monitor fetal heart tracings and maternal vitals, responding quickly to changes
Assist with epidurals, inductions, and cesarean sections
Educate and support families through the birthing process
Collaborate with a dedicated team of nurses, midwives, and physicians

Qualifications

Active RN license in Louisiana (or compact state eligible)
Minimum 1 year of recent Labor and Delivery experience
BLS and NRP certifications required
Strong communication and teamwork skills

Knowledge & Skills

Expertise in fetal monitoring and interpretation
Proficient in IV starts, medication administration, and emergency response
Knowledge of postpartum care and newborn assessment
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment
