Registered Nurse - Emergency Department
Location: Coos Bay, Oregon
Start Date: 07-06-2026
Contract Type: Perm
Shift Type: Night shift, 12-hour shifts, 36 hours per week (72 hours per two-week pay period); weekends and on-call possible
Hours per Week: 60
Bill Rate: $45.00 - $71.00/hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Apply the nursing process to provide compassionate, patient-centered care in the Emergency Department
- Teach patients and their families about health conditions and treatment plans
- Document patient care accurately in the electronic medical record system
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to coordinate overall patient care
- Respond effectively to patient crises and emergency situations
- Demonstrate critical thinking and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
Qualifications
- Licensed as a Registered Nurse in Oregon (required)
- American Heart Association BLS certification (required)
- Recent emergency nurse experience (required)
- Recent acute care hospital experience within the past 5 years (required)
- ACLS, PALS, TNCC, CEN preferred or obtain within 6 months to 1 year of hire
Knowledge & Skills
- Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Flexibility to adapt to rapidly changing patient and unit needs
- Effective teaching and communication skills
- Computer proficiency, including electronic medical records
- Ability to read, write, and converse in English
- Workplace violence prevention training preferred
