Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality diagnostic imaging procedures using radiology equipment
• Position patients safely and comfortably to obtain optimal images
• Follow radiation safety protocols to protect patients and staff
• Review images for quality and consult with radiologists as needed
• Document patient history and maintain accurate records
• Collaborate with the care team to ensure excellent patient outcomes

Qualifications

• Current ARRT certification in Radiography
• Virginia state licensure as a Radiologic Technologist
• BLS certification for healthcare providers
• Graduate of an accredited radiologic technology program
• Experience in radiology or imaging preferred, but new graduates are welcome to apply

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of radiology procedures and imaging protocols
• Strong patient positioning and handling skills
• Understanding of radiation safety and ALARA principles
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Proficient with radiology information systems and digital imaging
