Physician Assistant - Surgical First Assist
Location: Lexington, KY
Contract Type: Travel Contract
Shift Type: One weekend a month, Friday 7:00 AM - Monday 7:00 AM call with 1-2 call days per week

Roles & Responsibilities
- First assist in CABG, AVR, and MVR procedures to save lives
- Perform thoracotomy and lung resection surgeries with precision
- Handle OR duties, telemetry monitoring, and ICU patient care
- Conduct inpatient rounds, place chest tubes, and harvest veins
- Respond to call duties including procedures and weekend surgery support
Qualifications
- Certified Physician Assistant with Kentucky state license
- Proficient in first assisting cardiac and thoracic cases
- Experience in OR, telemetry, and ICU duties
- Clean malpractice history and ability to perform procedures
- Eligible for credentialing at Saint Joseph Hospital (90-110 days)
