Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform blood draws using venipuncture and capillary techniques with skill and care
• Label and process specimens accurately for laboratory testing
• Ensure patient comfort and safety during the collection process
• Maintain a clean and organized work area following infection control protocols
• Collaborate with nursing and lab staff to ensure timely specimen processing

Qualifications

• Valid Phlebotomy certification or completed training program
• Experience in a hospital or clinical setting preferred
• Strong communication and patient interaction skills
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Phlebotomy certification from an accredited program

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficient in venipuncture and capillary blood collection
• Knowledge of proper specimen handling and labeling
• Familiarity with infection control and safety standards
• Comfortable using electronic health records and lab systems
