Per Diem Speech Language Pathologist - Pediatrics
Location: Portland, Oregon
Start Date: 08-24-2026
Contract Type: Per-Diem
Shift Type: Per Diem, 8.5-hour day shifts, flexible scheduling (Monday-Friday)
Hours per Week: 40
Candidate Pay Rate: $34 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive speech, language, and swallowing assessments for pediatric patients
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient needs and family goals
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other therapists to ensure coordinated, holistic care
- Provide education and training to families and caregivers to support carryover at home
- Document patient progress accurately and maintain compliance with facility policies
- Participate in interdisciplinary care conferences and contribute to discharge planning
Qualifications
- Current Oregon Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) license
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred
- Pediatric clinical experience highly desirable
- Current BLS certification required
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills for pediatric speech and language disorders
- Knowledge of pediatric feeding and swallowing disorders
- Excellent interpersonal and family-centered communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively within an interdisciplinary healthcare team
- Strong documentation, organizational, and time-management abilities
