Roles & Responsibilities

• Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize instruments for orthodontic procedures
• Assist the orthodontist during adjustments, bonding, and bracket placement
• Take dental radiographs and intraoral scans with care and precision
• Provide patient education on oral hygiene and orthodontic care
• Maintain accurate patient records and treatment notes
• Keep inventory of orthodontic supplies and materials organized

Qualifications

• Orthodontic certification is required
• Dental Assisting certification or relevant training
• Maryland Dental Assistant licensure or ability to obtain
• Experience in orthodontic dental assisting is preferred
• Current CPR/BLS certification
• Strong communication and patient care skills
