Roles & Responsibilities

• Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize instruments so every patient visit runs smoothly
• Assist the dental hygienist and dentist chairside during cleanings and procedures
• Welcome patients warmly and get them comfortably settled before treatment
• Keep patient records and charting accurate and up to date
• Keep supplies stocked and equipment ready so the office hums along
• Share practical oral hygiene tips that patients can actually use at home

Qualifications

• Current Dental Assistant certification or equivalent hands-on training
• CPR/BLS certification preferred
• Prior experience in a dental office setting is a plus
• Comfortable working chairside with patients of all ages
• Strong communication skills and a genuinely friendly chairside manner
• Able to jump in independently and also thrive as part of a team

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of dental terminology, instruments, and sterilization techniques
• Familiarity with dental charting and electronic health records
• Infection control best practices
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• A calm, reassuring presence that puts patients at ease
