Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist the orthodontist during procedures, ensuring a smooth and efficient patient experience
• Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize instruments to maintain the highest standards of safety and cleanliness
• Take and process dental X-rays as directed, using proper safety protocols
• Educate patients and families on oral hygiene and post-treatment care
• Maintain accurate patient records and manage orthodontic supplies
• Provide compassionate, chairside support that puts patients at ease

Qualifications

• Must be orthodontic certified (certification required)
• Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) or similar credential is a plus
• Current radiology/X-ray certification
• Experience in a dental or orthodontic office setting
• Strong interpersonal skills and a friendly, patient-centered approach

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of orthodontic procedures, instruments, and terminology
• Familiarity with dental practice management software (Denticon experience preferred)
• Excellent communication and patient education skills
• Understanding of infection control and sterilization standards
• Ability to work efficiently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
