Roles & Responsibilities
- Assist the orthodontist during procedures, ensuring a smooth and efficient patient experience
- Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize instruments to maintain the highest standards of safety and cleanliness
- Take and process dental X-rays as directed, using proper safety protocols
- Educate patients and families on oral hygiene and post-treatment care
- Maintain accurate patient records and manage orthodontic supplies
- Provide compassionate, chairside support that puts patients at ease
Qualifications
- Must be orthodontic certified (certification required)
- Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) or similar credential is a plus
- Current radiology/X-ray certification
- Experience in a dental or orthodontic office setting
- Strong interpersonal skills and a friendly, patient-centered approach
Knowledge & Skills
- Knowledge of orthodontic procedures, instruments, and terminology
- Familiarity with dental practice management software (Denticon experience preferred)
- Excellent communication and patient education skills
- Understanding of infection control and sterilization standards
- Ability to work efficiently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
