Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist orthodontist during procedures and treatments
• Take and develop dental x-rays as needed
• Prepare patients for orthodontic appointments
• Sterilize and set up instruments and equipment
• Educate patients on oral hygiene and care
• Maintain accurate patient records

Qualifications

• Maryland Dental Assistant certification or eligibility
• Radiology/x-ray certification
• Previous orthodontic or dental assisting experience
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of dental terminology and procedures
• Skill in taking dental impressions and scans
• Proficiency with dental software (e.g., Denticon)
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
