Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist orthodontists during braces adjustments, retainers, and other procedures
• Prepare patients for treatment, ensuring comfort and answering questions
• Take and process dental X-rays and impressions with precision
• Sterilize and organize instruments to maintain a safe, clean environment
• Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-treatment care instructions

Qualifications

• Valid dental assistant certification or license as required by Maryland state regulations
• Radiology/X-ray certification preferred
• Experience in orthodontics is a plus
• Strong patient care and communication skills

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of orthodontic instruments and procedures
• Familiarity with dental software such as Denticon
• Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced clinical environment
• Excellent interpersonal skills and a caring, patient-first approach
