Shift Type: Monday-Friday, 12:30 PM - 8:00 PM
Hours per Week: 38
Candidate Pay Rate: $35 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Assist the orthodontist during examinations and procedures, ensuring a smooth patient flow
- Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and equipment to maintain a safe environment
- Take and develop dental X-rays with precision and care
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene and post-treatment care
- Maintain accurate patient records and update treatment plans
- Provide excellent chair-side support to keep patients comfortable and informed
Qualifications
- Certified Dental Assistant (CDA, RDA, or equivalent) strongly preferred
- Current radiology/X-ray certification in Maryland (or ability to obtain)
- Previous experience in orthodontics is a plus
- Strong interpersonal skills and a patient-first mindset
- Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a busy practice
- Current CPR/BLS certification
Knowledge & Skills
- Knowledge of orthodontic tools, appliances, and procedures
- Proficiency with dental practice management software (Denticon experience is a bonus)
- Excellent communication and listening skills
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational abilities
- Ability to work collaboratively with the dental team
- Commitment to maintaining infection control standards
