Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist in diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures while prioritizing patient safety
• Monitor patients' hemodynamic status and respond quickly to changes
• Prepare equipment, catheters, and sterile fields for Cath Lab procedures
• Administer contrast, medications, and sedation under direction
• Provide compassionate care and education before, during, and after procedures
• Participate in call rotations to support emergent cardiac care

Qualifications

• Current and unrestricted RN license in Iowa or compact state
• BLS certification required (American Heart Association)
• NIHSS certification required
• Cath Lab or critical care experience strongly preferred
• Ability to participate in call rotation and weekend coverage

Knowledge & Skills

• Comfortable with hemodynamic monitoring and cardiac rhythms
• Knowledge of sterile technique and catheterization lab protocols
• Ability to stay calm and focused during emergencies
• Strong communication skills for working with patients and the care team
• Attention to detail in documenting procedures and patient responses
