Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional, compassionate care to critically ill ICU patients
• Monitor and assess patient conditions, identifying changes and acting swiftly
• Administer medications, IV therapy, and life-support as needed
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to create and adjust care plans
• Support and educate patients and their families during challenging times
• Document patient care accurately and thoroughly in the electronic health record

Qualifications

• Active RN license in Iowa or a compact state
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• TNCC and NIHSS certifications required
• Ability to pass a background check and drug screening
• Completion of required immunizations and physical health statement

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong clinical judgment and critical-thinking skills
• Comfortable with life-support equipment and ventilator management
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
• Ability to stay calm under pressure and prioritize care
• Familiarity with EPIC or other EHR systems is a plus
