Roles & Responsibilities

• Prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals, and perform nuclear medicine imaging procedures using state-of-the-art equipment.
• Work closely with physicians to capture high-quality images that help guide accurate diagnoses.
• Ensure patient safety by following radiation protection standards and quality control procedures.
• Maintain and operate imaging equipment, troubleshooting issues and documenting procedures in the EMR (Point Click).
• Educate patients on imaging procedures, answering questions and easing concerns with a caring bedside manner.

Qualifications

• Active state license as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist - must be currently active.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in nuclear medicine within a medical imaging environment.
• Experience specifically in nuclear medicine; general lab tech experience does not qualify.
• Ability to pass a background check and meet facility credentialing requirements.
• Commitment to providing compassionate patient care.

Knowledge & Skills

• Expertise in operating nuclear medicine imaging equipment and gamma cameras.
• Knowledge of radiopharmaceutical preparation and safe handling practices.
• Familiarity with EMR systems, including Point Click.
• Understanding of radiation safety and quality assurance standards.
• Strong communication and patient interaction skills.
