Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive dental cleanings and prophylaxis treatments
• Educate patients on oral hygiene best practices and preventive care
• Assess patients' oral health and report findings to the dentist
• Administer fluoride treatments and apply sealants as directed
• Maintain accurate patient records and update dental charts
• Sterilize and prepare instruments to ensure a safe clinical environment
• Collaborate with the dental team to deliver exceptional patient care

Qualifications

• Active Dental Hygienist license in Virginia
• Current CPR/BLS certification
• Strong attention to detail and patient communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Previous dental hygiene experience is a plus, but new grads welcome

Knowledge & Skills

• Thorough knowledge of dental hygiene procedures and instruments
• Familiarity with dental software and patient management systems
• Excellent interpersonal skills to build rapport with patients
• Understanding of infection control and sterilization protocols
• Ability to manage multiple patients efficiently while maintaining quality care
