Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform thorough dental cleanings and prophylaxis to maintain patient oral health
• Examine patients for signs of oral diseases and report findings to the dentist
• Take and develop dental X-rays with precision and care
• Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques to prevent future issues
• Document patient care and treatment plans accurately in electronic health records
• Assist the dentist during procedures, ensuring a smooth and comfortable experience

Qualifications

• Active Dental Hygienist license in Virginia (required)
• Graduate from an accredited dental hygiene program
• Current CPR/BLS certification
• Excellent communication and patient-care skills
• Ability to work efficiently in a dynamic dental environment

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficiency in dental hygiene procedures and instruments
• Experience with digital X-ray systems and dental software
• Strong patient education and motivational interviewing skills
• Attention to detail and adherence to infection control protocols
• Time management and multitasking capabilities
