Roles & Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients with acute care needs, developing personalized treatment plans
• Implement therapeutic interventions to improve mobility, strength, and functional independence
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including physicians, nurses, and rehab aides
• Document patient progress accurately in MEDITECH EMR system
• Precept new staff and contribute to a learning culture as needed
• Provide coverage across acute care units, with occasional support at a nearby hospital

Qualifications

• Active Physical Therapist license in Texas (or eligible)
• BLS certification required
• Minimum of 2 years of acute care experience preferred; new grads with strong adult acute clinical rotations considered
• Experience with trauma and critical care patients is a plus
• Proficiency with MEDITECH EMR is preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong understanding of acute care physical therapy practices
• Skilled in patient evaluation and treatment planning
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced Level III trauma center
• Excellent communication and teamwork capabilities
• Adaptable and flexible when supporting multiple units
