Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive dental cleanings and patient assessments
• Take and interpret dental X-rays to support accurate diagnoses
• Educate patients on oral hygiene and preventive care best practices
• Assist the dentist during procedures to ensure seamless patient care
• Document patient treatment and maintain accurate records
• Prepare and sterilize instruments and treatment areas to uphold infection control standards
• Apply fluoride treatments and sealants to protect patient smiles
• Screen for oral diseases and abnormalities with a keen eye

Qualifications

• Active Dental Hygienist license in Virginia
• Current CPR/BLS certification
• Strong patient communication and interpersonal skills
• Commitment to delivering compassionate, quality care

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of dental hygiene procedures and instruments
• Familiarity with digital radiography and dental practice software
• Understanding of infection control and sterilization protocols
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work collaboratively with the dental team
