Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive dental hygiene care to patients, including cleanings and oral health assessments
• Educate patients on effective oral hygiene practices and preventive care
• Take and develop dental X-rays for diagnostic purposes
• Document patient treatments and maintain accurate clinical records
• Collaborate with the dentist to develop individualized treatment plans

Qualifications

• Active Virginia Dental Hygienist license
• Current CPR certification
• Strong communication and patient education skills
• Experience in a clinical dental setting (preferred)
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of dental hygiene procedures, instruments, and equipment
• Proficiency in patient assessment and charting
• Excellent interpersonal skills for patient interaction
• Familiarity with dental software and X-ray systems
• Adherence to infection control and safety standards
