Roles & Responsibilities

• Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and treatment rooms for each patient
• Assist the pediatric dentist chairside during exams and procedures
• Take and process dental X-rays with care and accuracy
• Help children and families feel at ease, especially first-time visitors
• Educate young patients on oral hygiene and post-visit care
• Maintain patient records and schedule follow-up appointments

Qualifications

• Current certification or licensure as a Dental Assistant in Wisconsin (or ability to obtain before start)
• CPR/BLS certification is a plus
• Prior experience in a pediatric or family dental practice is wonderful to have
• A welcoming, patient, and empathetic attitude toward children

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of dental instruments, sterilization techniques, and chairside assisting
• Familiarity with dental radiography (X-ray) procedures
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build rapport with children and parents
• Computer proficiency with dental practice management software
• Organizational skills to manage patient flow and records
