Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality MRI exams using established protocols, ensuring excellent diagnostic images
• Operate MRI equipment safely and efficiently while adhering to safety policies and MRI screening procedures
• Prepare patients for imaging, explain procedures in a calming, professional manner, and ensure patient comfort and safety
• Collaborate with radiologists and clinical staff to optimize imaging protocols and support patient care decisions
• Maintain accurate documentation of procedures, patient information, and imaging records in the PACS/RIS
• Participate in Trinity skills checklist and specialty competency testing to maintain clinical excellence
• Adhere to infection control, immunization, and workplace health requirements

Qualifications

• Current BLS certification (required)
• State license/certification verification as required by Michigan (required)
• Demonstrated MRI experience and core competency in MRI procedures
• Completion of Trinity Specialty Specific Competency Testing and Trinity Skills Checklist (required prior to or on assignment)
• Immunizations and pre-employment health requirements (COVID-19 vaccine, MMR, Tdap, Hep B, influenza, Varicella, 2-step PPD or IGRA, fit testing and respirator evaluation) as listed
• Trinity 10-panel drug screen and color vision testing completion
• ARRT(MR) or equivalent certification preferred but not strictly required (check facility-specific requirements)

Education

• Completion of an accredited radiologic technology or MRI program (Associate degree or equivalent) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong knowledge of MRI safety and screening procedures
• Proficiency in patient positioning and protocol selection for diagnostic-quality imaging
• Familiarity with MRI hardware and software, imaging sequences, and basic troubleshooting
• Comfortable working with PACS/RIS and maintaining accurate electronic records
• Excellent patient communication and compassionate bedside manner
• Ability to work collaboratively with radiologists, technologists, and clinical teams
