Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate bedside care to residents and patients with dignity and respect
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and document per facility policy
• Monitor and record vital signs, reporting changes promptly to the care team
• Collaborate with RNs, physicians, and interdisciplinary staff to coordinate care plans
• Perform skilled nursing tasks and assist with activities of daily living
• Maintain accurate, timely charting and handoffs to ensure continuity of care
• Participate in safety and infection control initiatives to keep patients and staff safe
• Support admissions, discharges, and transfers smoothly and professionally

Qualifications

• Active Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license (must be valid for practice in Maine)
• Current BLS/CPR certification (or willing to obtain prior to start)
• Prior experience in long-term care, skilled nursing, or a similar clinical setting preferred
• Strong communication and teamwork skills with a patient-centered approach
• Ability to pass facility onboarding, background checks, and health screening

Education

• Graduate of an accredited practical nursing program (LPN diploma or certificate)

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid knowledge of medication administration and documentation best practices
• Skilled in vital sign assessment, wound care basics, and ADL support
• Familiarity with electronic medical records and charting standards
• Good clinical judgment, time management, and prioritization skills
• Compassionate communication with patients, families, and the care team
