Contract Type: Per-Diem

Shift Type: Night shift, Wednesday, 6:45 PM - 7:15 AM (12.5-hour shift with 30-minute meal break)

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $32 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Provide compassionate, patient-centered care to residents of Windward Gardens
  • Administer medications and treatments as ordered, ensuring safety and accuracy
  • Monitor and assess residents' conditions and promptly report changes to the healthcare team
  • Document care provided accurately and in a timely manner
  • Collaborate with nurses, CNAs, and other team members to deliver high-quality care
  • Communicate effectively with residents and their families, addressing questions and concerns
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for residents and staff

Qualifications

  • Active LPN or RN license in Maine (or compact state)
  • COVID-19 vaccination or documented religious/medical exemption is required
  • Must bring a state or federal issued photo ID and wear a photo badge at all times
  • Current CPR/BLS certification is strongly preferred
  • Experience in long-term care, skilled nursing, or geriatrics is a plus
  • Ability to work a 12.5-hour overnight shift and stay alert throughout

Knowledge & Skills

  • Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
  • Knowledge of electronic health record (EHR) documentation systems
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
  • Compassion and patience when caring for elderly residents
  • Adaptability in a fast-paced healthcare environment
