Licensed Practical Nurse / Registered Nurse - Per Diem
Location: Camden, Maine
Start Date: 08-12-2026
Contract Type: Per-Diem
Shift Type: Night shift, Wednesday, 6:45 PM - 7:15 AM (12.5-hour shift with 30-minute meal break)
Hours per Week: 36
Candidate Pay Rate: $32 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, patient-centered care to residents of Windward Gardens
- Administer medications and treatments as ordered, ensuring safety and accuracy
- Monitor and assess residents' conditions and promptly report changes to the healthcare team
- Document care provided accurately and in a timely manner
- Collaborate with nurses, CNAs, and other team members to deliver high-quality care
- Communicate effectively with residents and their families, addressing questions and concerns
- Maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for residents and staff
Qualifications
- Active LPN or RN license in Maine (or compact state)
- COVID-19 vaccination or documented religious/medical exemption is required
- Must bring a state or federal issued photo ID and wear a photo badge at all times
- Current CPR/BLS certification is strongly preferred
- Experience in long-term care, skilled nursing, or geriatrics is a plus
- Ability to work a 12.5-hour overnight shift and stay alert throughout
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
- Knowledge of electronic health record (EHR) documentation systems
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Compassion and patience when caring for elderly residents
- Adaptability in a fast-paced healthcare environment
