Roles & Responsibilities

• Compound and dispense prescribed medications accurately for inpatient care
• Review prescriptions for accuracy and ensure proper formulas and dosing
• Manage controlled substances, inventory, storage and security procedures
• Maintain medication safety through incident reporting and quality assurance
• Provide clear, respectful patient counseling and medication information when accepted
• Direct and train pharmacy personnel and interns while maintaining legal ratios
• Enter accurate patient, medication and inventory data into pharmacy systems
• Resolve third-party Rx issues and process charge/ billing system entries
• Oversee hazardous drug disposal and maintain pharmacy safety and sanitation
• Collaborate with physicians and the care team to optimize medication therapy

Qualifications

• Inpatient pharmacy experience within the last 3 years (required)
• Current BLS Certification (required)
• Certified Immunizer (required)
• Proven experience with compounding, dispensing and prescription review
• Familiarity with controlled substances management and inventory control
• Experience supervising pharmacy staff and training interns
• Comfortable using pharmacy systems and Microsoft Office applications
• Strong communication and customer-service orientation
