Location: Bowie, MD

Contract Type: Per-Diem

Shift Type: Per diem (varied days), 11:00 PM - 7:00 AM NOC (night shift)

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $18 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate personal care and daily living assistance to geriatric residents
Safely assist with transfers, mobility, and fall prevention measures
Monitor residents’ condition and report changes to nurses and supervisors
Maintain accurate, timely documentation of care and observations
Support a calm, respectful environment that promotes dignity and independence
Collaborate with the care team to ensure continuity and high-quality resident care

Qualifications

Current GNA certification (required)
Previous experience working with older adults or in long-term care preferred
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Current CPR/BLS certification recommended or willingness to obtain
Able to pass required background checks and health screenings

Education

High school diploma or GED preferred
GNA certification or equivalent training (required)

Knowledge & Skills

Skilled in basic patient care: bathing, grooming, feeding, toileting
Familiarity with infection control and safety protocols
Comfortable with documentation and reporting resident changes
Empathy, patience, and strong observational skills
Ability to follow care plans and take direction from licensed staff
