Roles & Responsibilities

Assist residents with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, and mobility
Provide respectful, person-centered care that preserves dignity and independence
Monitor and record vital signs and changes in resident condition accurately
Support mealtime assistance and ensure hydration needs are met
Communicate observations and concerns clearly to the nursing team and care plan
Help create a warm, safe, and engaging environment for residents

Qualifications

Valid GNA certification (or state equivalent) required
High school diploma or GED preferred
Current CPR/BLS certification preferred or willingness to obtain
Comfort working with older adults and a patient, compassionate attitude
Strong communication skills and ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team
Ability to pass required background checks and health screenings

Education

GNA certification (required)
High school diploma or equivalent (preferred)

Knowledge & Skills

Understanding of geriatric care principles and common age-related conditions
Skillful assistance with ADLs (bathing, toileting, grooming, feeding)
Basic vital sign measurement and documentation
Good observational skills and accurate record-keeping
Friendly bedside manner and the ability to build trusting relationships
Time management and teamwork in a fast-paced care setting
