Location: Bowie, MD

Contract Type: Per-Diem

Shift Type: Per diem (days vary), 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM (Day shift)

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $17 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate direct care to elderly residents with dignity and respect
Assist with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, and mobility
Monitor residents and promptly report changes in condition to nursing staff
Support mealtime assistance and ensure residents receive proper nutrition and hydration
Help maintain a safe, clean environment and follow infection control practices
Build trusting relationships with residents and their families through consistent, kind care

Qualifications

Valid GNA certification (required)
Current CPR/BLS certification preferred or willingness to obtain
Proven experience or clinical comfort working with geriatric populations is a plus
Strong communication skills and the ability to work as part of a care team
Ability to pass background checks and any facility-required screenings

Education

High school diploma or equivalent
Completion of an accredited GNA program

Knowledge & Skills

Understanding of basic geriatric care principles and resident-centered approaches
Ability to assist with transfers and mobility support safely
Familiarity with infection control and basic charting or documentation
Compassionate bedside manner and good observation skills
Team-oriented mindset and reliable attendance
