Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform thorough dental cleanings, scaling, and root planing to promote optimal oral health
• Assess patients' oral health conditions and document findings accurately in patient records
• Take and develop dental x-rays to support diagnostic processes
• Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices and preventive care techniques
• Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, ensuring a smooth workflow
• Adhere to strict infection control protocols and maintain a clean, safe clinical environment

Qualifications

• Active Dental Hygienist license in the state of Virginia
• Current CPR/BLS certification
• Strong patient communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work evening shifts (12:00 PM - 9:00 PM)
• Previous experience in a dental setting is a plus, but new graduates are encouraged to apply

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficiency in dental hygiene procedures, including cleanings and x-rays
• Knowledge of dental software and patient management systems
• Understanding of OSHA and infection control standards
• Excellent time management and organizational skills
