Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform thorough dental cleanings and remove plaque and tartar
• Assess patients' oral health and report findings to the dentist
• Take and develop dental X-rays
• Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques
• Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and treatment rooms

Qualifications

• Active and valid Dental Hygienist license in Virginia
• Graduation from an accredited dental hygiene program
• Current CPR/BLS certification
• Excellent communication and patient care skills
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficient in taking dental radiographs (X-rays)
• Knowledge of dental anatomy and periodontal disease
• Skill in administering local anesthesia and nitrous oxide
• Familiarity with dental software and record-keeping
• Strong attention to infection control and sterilization protocols
